Mirabad bazaar

Military activities took place in the middle of the XIX century in the Central Asian region (the Turkestan Military District), and in the present-day area of Mirabad bazaar was formed the hospital for soldiers treatment. Therefore former name of the bazaar was "Hospital."

Currently Mirabad bazaar is one of the central bazaars in Tashkent. The main distinctive feature of the bazaar is a green canopy that covers the entire territory of the market, protecting against heat in the summer and giving shade for vendors in the winter's rain and snow. And this green umbrella gives a special comfort to the bazaar, where you will always notice a kindness as this bazaar is visited by disabeled and the faithful people who attend an Orthodox church located nearby, as well as residents of nearby areas.
