Wyndham Hotel (former Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent hotel) is located in the heart of Tashkent city at the crossroads of Amir Temur and Navoiy streets. It is managed by Wyndham Hotels Group. It is a great value for money in Tashkent if you are looking at both quality and price. Hotel is located just 20 minutes drive from Tashkent airport and 15 minutes from railway station. Well located in the new part of the city, easy access to the Abdulla Qodiriy Metro station and local bazaar. Hotel has a central location surrounded by a green area. Most of the hotels staff speaks fluent Russian, Uzbek, English and Turkish language.

The common areas are fantastic and among the best of any hotel in Tashkent. There are 3 elevators in the hotel.

The rooms of the hotel are nice, comfortable, fair size, with good facilities and priced reasonably comparing to other hotels of the same level. 8 floor building has 206 rooms, including 100 standard rooms (called superior), 98 deluxe, 2 luxury, 5 apartments and 1 presidential apartment. All rooms are of decent size, well equipped with comfortable furniture and marble bathrooms. Standard rooms are noticeably smaller, so if that matters for you make sure you get a deluxe one, which is rather spacious and only a little bit more expensive. Thermostat-controlled air conditioning and there is a big openable window in all rooms. There is a kettle in your room so you can make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and a sealed minibar. The TV sets in most of the rooms are from another generation, i.e. not flat-screen Plasma/LCD, but they plan to replace them in the very near future. We would advise travelers staying in Wyndham Hotel to ask a room with courtyard view since it might be a bit noisy in the rooms overlooking the road вгу to heavy traffic.

In the morning you will enjoy a delicious breakfast which is excellent in terms of both choice and quality. Menu varying from traditional Uzbek to standard European dishes. They serve only an instant coffee at breakfast and in the rooms. If you wish to have an espresso, or americano, or cappuccino, you have to pay extra. The prices are quite high - between $7-8 USD. Breakfast area can be busy at times due to large tour groups in the hotel. You would be delighted to listen to live music each morning, especially the sweet harp player. In the evening a piano and violin duo entertain in the restaurant, which is great and provides a warm atmosphere to the meals. There are 2 nice restaurants: for breakfast (with freshly squeezed orange and grenade juices - highly recommended, although at an extra pay) and another one for lunch / dinner - both very airy with large windows and some really nice food. All the food in the restaurant is excellent though some might find it overpriced for the general price level in Tashkent - but there are plenty of food options in town.

Among other advantages of the hotel are inner and outdoor pools, tennis court, Turkish hammam, traditional sauna, massage room, fitness club that are one of the best in Tashkent. The good 'selling point' for the Wyndham is that is has free High speed Internet Wi-Fi connection available in any corner of the hotel, which is a rare case for most of the hotels in Tashkent and in Central Asia in general. 24 hours room service, delivery of any meal directly to your room. Just dial 23 from your room. Inside the hotel there is an ATM and a currency exchange point, which would be very handy, as there are no ATM's outside on the street at all.

Staff are outstanding, very pleasant, cheerful, helpful and at your disposal anytime.  Front office staff are well-trained, helpful and they know their job. Most of the staff speak fluent English.

Wyndham Hotel doesn't claim to be top-end and doesn't charge top dollar so you can't feel ripped off staying there. A good central location, friendly staff, top service, decent facilities and overall exceptional value for money. This is a real winner among the hotels of the same class in Tashkent and should the rooms are upgraded to match the rest of the hotel atmosphere Wyndham will be able to rival the very few 5-star hotels present in Tashkent.
