Sayokhat Hotel was built in 1969 and had major redevelopment in 2009. The hotel is located just 10 minutes drive from the city centre and several steps away from the ‘Buyuk Ipak Yoli’ Metro station that would make very easy getting around Tashkent. ‘Buyuk Ipak Yoli’ means Great Silk Road. The area where the hotel is located is quite good; this is a calm and peaceful part of the city with multiple shops, food courts, internet clubsand marketsnear the hotel. Still, the place is further away from Tashkent city centre and those tourist coming to explore Tashkent might want to be located more centrally.
The hotel offers 81 suites for accommodation. All suites are equipped with modern furniture, phone, TV set and refrigerator. There are several types of rooms in the hotel including standard and improved rooms, non-smoking rooms (30 single rooms, 24 double rooms, 24 triple rooms, 1 semi-luxury apartment, 2 luxury apartments). Rooms on the higher floors and facing the rose garden are more quiet. Also try to choose rooms further from the elevator and stairsto avoid the noise of guests passing through the corridor.
The advertised outdoor swimming pool in the foreground is very dirty and not for use. They have a very beatiful rose garden.
The breakfast is limited and not much to choose from. There is rice, pasta, boiled eggs, fried eggs, 2 hot dishes, some slices of fruit, some bread and of course tea and coffee. if you come later, there is not much left to eat. The serving dishes in the buffet are not refilled.
Staff are very helpful and friendly from bottom to top.
