Sayram Hotel is tucked away up a quiet road south of the city centre. The area is quiet and quite pretty. You can sleep and hear the birds singing by night. The nearest Kosmonavtlar Metro station is about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel is close to excellent Jumanji restaurant. It is also within  walking distance to tourist locations like Applied Art Museum, National Park of Uzbekistan, and restaurants. Be aware that taxis might find it hard to find, so make sure to have hotel’s telephone number before the set off in case driver would need instructions on how to get there. The hotel is used a lot by business people who are paying their own bills and know where to look for good value.

In terms of quality the hotel is very good and even charming. There's no elevator, so try to get a room on the 2nd floor (one floor up). Wi-Fi  internet access is free.

Rooms are modern, comfortable, spotlessly clean, well appointed but could be more spacious. They are designed with wooden and fabric furnishings.  All rooms are air-conditioned and include a flat-screen TV, stylish desk and private bathroom with bathrobe and slippers. The beds are harder than those the Western clientele is used to, the shower has good water pressure, no bathtubs. TV has several English channels. Coffee, tea and mineral water are provided. Unfortunately lack of reading lights are above or beside the beds is minor drawback.

Breakfast buffet is quite OK and has anything you could sensibly want. There is also a small restaurant and bar right next to the lobby where excellent local and international food is served. Dinner is also delicious and more expensive, but no doubt reasonable for a hotel in Tashkent.

Staff of the hotel is very attentive and eager to help either to call a taxi, arrange a tour or recommend one of the many fine restaurants in Tashkent.

Sayram is clean, safe, comfortable, very pleasant small hotel and excellent choice for Tashkent. Highly recommended.
