Day 1: Tashkent

Arrive Tashkent, welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Early check-in is not included. Overnight in Tashkent.

Day 2: Tashkent 

Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Tashkent: Abdul Kasim Madrassah, Khast Imam Complex – a religious center of the city consisting of the Barakkhan Madrasah, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII century. Explore traditional Chorsu oriental bazaar. Lunch.

Now you will visit modern part of Tashkent by metro: Amir Timur Square, Applied Art Museum, Earthquake Memorial, Independence Square. Overnight in Tashkent.

Day 3: Tashkent - Urgench - Khiva

Early transfer to the airport and fly to Urgench at 07:50. Arrive Urgench at 9:30 and drive to Khiva (30 km), after arrival hotel check-in. Full day for sightseeing of Khiva - including visits to the inner town of Ichan Kala (XIV-XX CC) with Muhamad Amin khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim khan Madrassah, Djuma Mosque and Minaret, Tash Hauli Palace. Lunch in so called restaurant – Madrassah of the XIX century. PM sightseeing for 2 hrs: Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrassah, Shirgazi khan Madrassah, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. Night in Khiva.

Day 4: Khiva - Bukhara

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning sightseeing tour to the ancient castles of Khorezm – Ayaz Kala, Toprak Kala, Kyzyl Kala, Guldursan Kala. Drive back to Khiva. Lunch. Free time.

Transfer to Urgench for flight Urgench-Bukhara at 21:50. Arrive Bukhara at 22:50. Transfer to the hotel, check-in. Overnight in Bukhara.

Day 5: Bukhara

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour in Bukhara. Visits to the Ark Fortress (I-XX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque (XVIII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IX-X CC), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC). Lunch. PM portion of s/s tour on foot along the old town of Bukhara from Poi-Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret (XII C) through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV C), Toki Sarrafon (XVI C), Toki Telpak Furushon (XVI C), Ulugbek Madrassah (XV C), Abdulazizkhan Madrassah (XVII C) to the Lyabi Hauz complex (XVI -XVII CC). We will also see the sculpture of a folk hero Khoja Nasreddin. Night in Bukhara.

Day 6: Bukhara - Samarkand

Breakfast in the hotel. Today we drive outside Bukhara for sightseeing: Bagautdin Nakhshbandi Complex - a center of Sufism (XIV-XVI CC, 14 km outside the town), Sitorai Mokhi Khosa - summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (XIX-XX, 4 km outside the town). Visit to the Chor Bakr Necropolis (XVI-XX CC, 10 km outside the town). Lunch. Drive to Samarkand (4 h). En route visitthe ruins of the XI century caravanserai Malik Rabat. Arrive Samarkand in the evening. Hotel check-in. Overnight in Samarkand. 

Day 7: Samarkand

Breakfast in the hotel. We will start sightseeing from Registan Square (XV-XVII CC) (which means “desert” in Persian) and three madrassahs (religious study centers) surrounding the square: Ulughbek Madrassah (XV c), Sher-Dor Madrassah (XVII c), and Tillya-Kari Madrassah (XVII c) – covered with gold. Visit to Gur-Emir Mausoleum (tomb of Tamerlane), Shakhi Zinda Necropolis (XI-XX CC). Lunch.

Continue sightseeing with Ulugbek Observatory, built in XV century by Timurid ruler and astronomer, Bibi Khanum Mosque – built by Amir Timur (Tamerlane) in XV century and Samarkand local bazaar. Overnight in Samarkand.

Day 13: Samarkand - Tashkent

Breakfast in the hotel. Free time. Check-out hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing in Samarkand: visit to Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, and Tombstone of Saint Daniyar. The prophet Daniyar (Daniel) is revered by three world religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam, and mausoleum is still a pilgrimage place for the followers of all three Abrahamic religions. Transfer to the railway station for “Afrosiyob” train, departing at 18:00. Arrive Tashkent at 20:10, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tashkent.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Package does not include transfers from/to Tashkent International Airport on your arrival/departure day – this may be arranged for extra payment of 15$ per car.

Package includes overnight in Tashkent 1 day prior to the tour beginning date. If you would like to extend your stay, we can book accommodation for extra payment.
