The hotel was finally closed and turned into business centre

Radisson SAS Plaza is a small hotel occupying the top three floors of 17 storey office building in the very central part of Baku. It is a perfect blend of contemporary architecture and traditional hospitality. There are separate lifts to the hotel floors, and reception desk is on the top floor. The location is one of hotel's greatest assets, indeed. You are in the middle of everything. New shopping centres, lovely restaurants, business and government offices, and also close to Old Baku. The sea view suites have stunning views of the city and you are very well located if you are tourist for the old city shops and bars. Radisson SAS Plaza is an appropriate place to put up for all those in quest of luxury and opulent comfort in Baku.

The view from the 17th floor is remarkable. There is a balcony surrounding top floor so you can walk around the building that gives you a 360 degree view of Baku. The cocktail lounge is located in a prime position on this floor.

The hotel's reception is located on the 17th floor. There are no any signs at the ground floor and some guests migh find it deifficult to locate the hotel, so just go to elevators and straight to the top floor (make sure you get into the right lifts at the end of the block of lifts).

The hotel provides an opportunity to stay away from the hustle and bustle of large city while in the hotel rooms that create an environment of calmness and quietness. Radisson SAS Plaza offers 38 spacious well appointed Deluxe and Executive Suites and 2 Presidential Suites. All the rooms are equipped with all the modern facilities and offer every possible luxury at the most competitive of the pricing. All rooms have separate guestroom and bedroom, very clean and nicely furnished. Clean bed linen, complementary bottled water and bathroom essentials.

Rooms at the back of the building are quite dark and view pretty depressing. On the contrary, rooms closer to the front have much better view of the sea, but this comes with price increase of around 50 USD.

Radisson SAS Plaza Baku offers awesome facilities for dining and recreation. A multi-cuisine Manzara Restaurant serves delicious delicacies on the 17th floor at the top of the building with an amazing view over Baku Manzara is specializing on Ottoman Turkish cuisine. Next to the restaurant is City Lights Bar offering an amalgamation of cocktails and mocktails in a relaxing atmosphere. Live jazz is performing at the weekends. There is also a fine Italian restaurant in the ground floor offering delicious home-made Italian dishes including authentic wood-burning oven pizza.

Breakfast at this hotel is far from good Radisson standard, one of the worst breakfasts to have at one of the main business chain hotels, though for 20 euros it might be far better indeed. It's a small buffet, and you have to order extra's. The breakfast room looks deserted all the time (understandably why) but you are on top of the world. F&B staff is not very good in English so it will take some effots to explain what you want. A nice well-equipped gym, large pool and sauna at guest's disposal.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but English comprehension might cause slight problems. Also, there is no lobby as it should be at the hotels of this standard and no valet service. There is only one person working at the reception who attends all calls, check-ins, everything!

Good hotel with good location but the service need to be improved significantly. There may not be many facilities at the hotel, but the location really does make up for that. Still, not even close to true Radisson standard.
