I’m planning a trip to the Darwaza Gas Crater from Uzbekistan this coming February and have a few questions:

  1. Are the yurt camps at Darwaza operational?
  2. Do they have heating, and if so, what kind?
  3. How cold does it typically get in February? Is it comfortable staying in the yurts at that time of year?
  4. Lastly, how long is the journey from Kunya-Urgench to Darwaza?
