The tour lasted almost 3 hours instead of 2, and even then it felt rushed. You really need to come for half a day. Under one roof there are 4–5 museums.
Crowds — massive. We didn’t make it to the show, the only downside, but the sunsets are amazing. Buy tickets in advance. You can do it online via itiket.uz.

At 9:00 PM there’s a fountain show with fireworks, which is really impressive!! And afterward, you can still wait for another fountain show at 9:30 PM). The little bridge in the park has been decorated with flower arches and teddy bears—everyone is taking photos there). Inside the mall, on the ground floor, there’s a large Galmart supermarket. The fountains with fireworks will be running today as well.

An amazing place—it will definitely rank among my top three most memorable spots in Uzbekistan.
It is located 45 kilometers from Navoi and is known for its tens of thousands of petroglyphs. A whole art gallery of the Bronze and Stone Ages. The oldest carvings date back 9,000 years, according to scientists )
Hunting scenes, dances, rituals, animals, and even what look like aliens—everything can be found in these drawings. The place itself is very picturesque: rocks, sunshine, and frogs croaking throughout the entire gorge )
Even the taxi driver who brought me there got interested and ended up keeping me company for a few hours )
He said he was amazed by what he saw.
This place is an absolute must-visit ;)

About the Imam Al-Bukhari Mosque:
We got there by bus No. 100—it took about an hour, and around 5 PM the bus was absolutely packed.
Of course, I had seen photos before, but in real life it’s impossible to put into words how magnificent the mosque is! It’s especially beautiful at sunset; around 7:30 PM the lights were switched on, and everyone around let out an audible gasp in unison.
On the way back, the bus driver mentioned that the last bus was supposedly at 8 PM, but we didn’t see either the bus or any people waiting for it. In the end, we left by a Damas minivan, paying 15,000 soum per person, reached the city, and then transferred to another bus. The mosque is simply like something out of a fairy tale!!

In the morning I arrived at Mizdakhan. As I mentioned earlier, it’s an archaeological complex of ancient structures. It’s huge — the territory is over 200 hectares, the latest burials date back to the 13th century, and the earliest… well, basically next to the dinosaurs.
It’s surprising that this necropolis is still active — there’s a 13th-century mausoleum, and right next to it a grave from the 2000s.
There’s also the hill of Jumart Kassab, which used to serve — and still serves (I left a small offering there too, just in case 😄) — as a place of worship and ritual practices. According to legend, Adam is buried beneath it.

A couple of kilometers from the necropolis, there’s the fortress of Gyaur Kala — also an amazing place.

The morning rain didn’t scare us — we bought raincoats at a souvenir shop near the Registan and set off.

The taxi took us to this point And from there a circular route begins that takes about 3 hours. You can follow this track — GPS works perfectly there, but there’s no internet, so you need to download the track in advance.

The hike is not difficult — most of the time it’s just a dirt road, there’s one spot where you need to cross a stream over stones, and one steep climb.

The weather changes quickly there — at one point at the top we got covered by fog, but it cleared quickly, and toward the end it started raining.

To get back, you can take a minibus from the village — number 256 goes to the second ring road for 6,000 som, and from there you can order a Yandex taxi. Near the final stop there’s also very tasty fresh samsa from a tandoor.

The hike isn’t easy, it requires an average level of physical fitness, but the views of the area are simply incredible: wild nature, views of overhanging mountains, the sound of a fast-flowing, murmuring river — all of this will leave unforgettable impressions.
It’s not a one-day hike (at least 1 overnight stay is needed) — it’s also a border and eco zone, and at the entrance your passport details will be checked and recorded at the post.
And there’s no mobile signal there anymore. The exact coordinates of the place are easy to find on Google Maps — just type “Koksu Gorge.” (Коксуйская Щель)
