Is Dilijan overrated or is it actually worth visiting?

I'm putting together a one-week itinerary for Armenia.

Almost every tour seems to include Dilijan, but I'm struggling to understand what actually makes it special. Is it somewhere you'd spend a whole day, or is it simply a convenient place to stop for lunch before continuing to Sevan?

Is Tatev Monastery Worth the Long Journey from Yerevan?

We're visiting Armenia for six days and trying to decide whether to include Tatev Monastery. It looks incredible in the photos, but it's also one of the longest day trips from Yerevan. Is it really worth spending an entire day on the road, or would you recommend concentrating on places closer to the capital?
