If you enjoy the great outdoors, Kyrgyzstan has a vast menu for you to choose from: trekking amongst snowy peaks; horse-riding or cycling through canyons and pasturelands strewn with alpine flowers; scaling walls of rock or ice at sub-zero temperatures; resting by turquoise lakes high in the mountains, surrounded by juniper, maple and Siberian pine forests; or careering in a canoe or dinghy down one of Kyrgyzstan's many glacier-fed waterways.
