The first Ritz-Carlton hotel opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan

The first hotel from The Ritz-Carlton international chain opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It occupies the top 10 floors (from 21th to 30th) of  Esentai Tower - one of the tallest buildings in Central Asia. The hotel offers 145 luxurious rooms decorated with rare woods and marble. All rooms are equipped with coffee machines, tea sets, electronic panels to control lighting, docking stations for gadgets, personal mini safe and mini- bar.

Soviet sculpture park will be created in Tajikistan

Soviet monuments dismantled during the period of Tajik independence will be collected in one place in the Tajik city of Khujand. City administration decided to install the composition of Soviet sculptures in Victory Park. There is a monument to Lenin recently transferred to the Park from the city center.

The large ski center will be built near Ashgabat

A modern ski resort is planned to be built near Ashgabat, literally in the middle of the desert. A ski run with artificial snow and all the associated infrastructure , including the observation decks, parks and other recreation facilities will be built as part of this ski complex. According to preliminary projects, the cable way of over 9 kilometers will start from the foothills of the Kopetdagh near Geoktepe highway and will extend to to the plateau-like top of the Ginduvar mountain.

Georgia is actively preparing for the new winter season

Several tourist information centers will be open in Georgia by the beginning of the winter season 2013-2014. They will be operating not only in Tbilisi but also in Bakuriani, Samegrelo and Kazbegi. Georginan ski resorts are making arrangements for receiving guests. According to the National Tourism Administration of Georgia there will be 2 routes operating at Mesti (Svaneti ): the "red " (1900 meters) and " Blue " ( 2565 meters).

Georgia will build a new ski resort

The construction of the new ski resort on Mount Tetnuld will in Georgia next year. Upon completion there will be 6 ski lifts and new trek with the length of 25 kilometers. The project cost is estimated at $52 million, the French company with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia are working on the creation of a new resort.
