New Airport is opened in remote Racha region

New airport in Ambrolauri, town in remote Racha region in the west of Georgia has been officially opened. Abrolauri Airport is an important infrastructural project dedicated to increase tourism in the region. The airport is capable to serve small planes carrying 15 or 20 passengers. Its runway is 1,1 km long and its terminal is 600 m2 and can serve about 50 passengers at a time, Agenda.ge reports.
