Turkmenistan wants to become a tourist superpower

The openinig ceremony for the first yacht-club and hotel comlex that were constructed by Turkish company Polimeks Construction Company on the shores of Caspian sea was held on the occassion of Turkmen president's birthday. Accroding to president the new project in Avaza would not only function as a comfortable sea resort but will give a serious boost to beach tourism development in the country. American pop-singer Jeniffer Lopez that was invited to inaugaration ceremony sang «Нappy birthday» for the president of Turkmenistan.

Developing 16 km beaches in Avaza is the major project with the major objective to accept around 20 000 tourist a year. It is intended to be completed in 2020.

Polimeks constructed a resort village that includes 57 villas and a yacht-club. Project cost is $80 mln.
