Hi everyone from Yerevan! ) Recently there was a discussion here about the red tourist bus — I took a ride on it today ) The price is 5,000 drams. The ride lasts 2 hours. I came at 11 a.m., but I was the only one interested, so they told me to come back at 12. By 12, two more people showed up and the three of us rode together ) They explained in Russian what we were passing along the way.

Overall, if you just want to get oriented in the city, it’s fine, but we spent a lot of time stuck in traffic — I can’t even imagine what it’s like in the evening with those traffic jams. They have a phone number; they said you can call in advance to check whether they’ve gathered enough people for the tour: +37493688545.

We went on a city sightseeing tour on a double-decker bus around Yerevan last year. I wouldn’t recommend it. The guides were drinking alcohol right during the tour, spoke Russian poorly, and the information was very limited.

I also saw that some other bus departs from Republic Square, something like a “Musical” one. There were always a lot of free seats there.

You might get lucky. My son and I came literally 15 minutes before departure and there happened to be seats just for us. But they barely managed to find them) They don’t answer the phone, it’s unrealistic to book in advance. But the tour was only in Armenian. Even though the website says there are three languages.

It’s better to come in advance and buy tickets for an available time slot — often an entire tourist group gets on and there are no seats left.

From Place de France, opposite the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, a double-decker sightseeing bus with an audio guide departs three times a day (at 11:00, 15:00, 17:00). I highly recommend it. The duration is about 1.5–2 hours, the price is 5,000 drams per person.

There is a square between the building of the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Arno Babajanian Concert Hall and the Yerevan Cascade. I’ve seen it there many times — it seems to depart from there.
