Yes, from the Eastern Bus Station, its old name is Voyennaya Antonovka. That’s the final stop for the buses. You can get there from anywhere in the city for 20,000 som within about an hour.

I crossed the Kazakhstan border using my ID card, but for Uzbekistan it’s strictly international passport only.

After arriving in Tashkent, you can either immediately take a taxi or wait 1–2 hours for a bus and get to the Tashkent bus station (Bunyodkor Street). From there you can take the metro to any part of the city you need.

The bus was very decent, we departed at 9:00 p.m., arrived at 5:30 a.m., and crossed the border without any issues. I’ll attach a photo of the bus now.

The first four seats are panoramic. If you’re taller than 199 cm like me, it’s better to buy seats 7 or 8 — very comfortable. Under no circumstances take seats 5 and 6 — they’re cramped.
