Morning: Start your day at the Khudoyar Khan Palace, the symbol of Kokand’s rich history and architectural beauty. Explore the palace grounds and learn about the life of Khudoyar Khan, the last ruler of Kokand.

Next, head to the Jami Mosque, located nearby. This historic mosque dates back to the 19th century and is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere. Take some time to admire the mosque’s intricate tilework and ornate details.

Afternoon: For lunch, stop by one of the local restaurants or cafes in the area and try some traditional Uzbek cuisine. Be sure to sample some of the local dishes, such as plov (rice pilaf), shashlik (grilled skewers), and laghman (noodle soup).

After lunch, visit the Kamol-Kazy Madrasah, a 19th-century Islamic school known for its classical Kokand architecture. Explore the madrasah’s classrooms, hujras (living quarters), and mosque-ayvan, and learn about the history of Islamic education in Kokand.

Next, head to Dahma-I Shakhon Tomb, where the rulers of Kokand and other prominent figures are buried. The tomb is located near the cemetery and is a serene place to reflect on Kokand’s history.

Evening: In the evening, take a leisurely walk around Chorsu Square, the heart of Kokand’s bustling bazaar. Explore the market stalls selling everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this lively square.

For dinner, dine at a local restaurant and enjoy more delicious Uzbek cuisine. After dinner, take a stroll through Kokand City Park and relax in the peaceful surroundings.

Optional: If you have time, consider driving (taxis are rather cheap) to the ancient town of Rishtan, famous for its original blue pottery, unique and incredibly beautiful – it is the most popular among tourists as souvenirs. Visit here the center of ceramists, get acquainted with the masters and their work and observe the process of making ceramic dishes. In the evening return to Kokand.
