Obtaining a Visa Through an Embassy

Nationals whose countries do not fall under the visa-free or e-visa categories must apply for a visa through Armenian embassies or consular offices. One of the key requirements for this process is an official invitation letter. This invitation can be issued by a registered Armenian legal entity, an accredited travel agency, a government institution, or a diplomatic mission. International organizations and their representatives based in Armenia may also provide such letters.

Private individuals wishing to invite a foreign guest must submit the required documentation to the Passport and Visa Department of the Armenian Police. Notably, foreign citizens of Armenian descent can obtain a visa without an invitation.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding visa policies, procedures, and application forms, please consult the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
