Kazakhstan Hotel, Almaty

One of Almaty’s most iconic landmarks is the Hotel Kazakhstan, a 102-meter-tall building with 26 floors. Built in 1977, it was the tallest structure in Almaty until 2008. The hotel is a prime example of monumental and durable Soviet architecture. Even today, it stands tall above the city with its distinctive golden crown, serving as a unique historical monument.

Completed in 1977, the hotel was the first skyscraper built in the seismically active city of Almaty. Despite the construction of newer buildings, local architects still recognize Hotel Kazakhstan as the most earthquake-resistant and tallest building in the southern capital. From the hotel windows, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Zailiysky Alatau mountains.

Situated in the heart of Almaty’s business and administrative district, the hotel is ideally located for both business travelers and tourists. If you’re planning a stay in Almaty, this hotel offers over 300 rooms for a comfortable and convenient visit.

As you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious lobby, the highlight of which is an enormous crystal chandelier. Each room is elegantly designed in soft tones and features large panoramic windows. For a perfect view of Hotel Kazakhstan, make your way to the Kok-Tobe Tower, where the hotel’s grandeur can be fully appreciated.
