Route in brief:

Navruz Ethnographic Park in Tashkent

We are pleased to offer your guests a truly unique and authentic master class on preparing traditional Uzbek plov, held in the very center of Tashkent at the Navruz Ethnographic Park.

This interactive culinary experience is designed for small groups of up to 10–11 participants and takes place in a cozy, traditional courtyard located within the park. Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed by the hostess of the house, who introduces them to the spirit of Uzbek hospitality and performs the traditional “Bride’s Greeting” ceremony, explaining local customs, family values, and long-standing traditions.

After the welcoming ritual, an experienced chaikhana master demonstrates every stage of cooking genuine Uzbek plov, sharing traditional techniques and culinary secrets that have been passed down from generation to generation.

If desired, guests may also take part in preparing traditional Uzbek bread and vegetable samsa, guided by the hostess, who explains the recipes as well as the cultural significance of welcoming and hosting guests in Uzbekistan.

The master class lasts approximately three hours, unfolding in a warm and relaxed atmosphere and including:

  • tasting of Eastern sweets,
  • a tea ceremony with fragrant Uzbek tea,
  • and, as a finale, a shared meal featuring the plov prepared together by the participants.

This experience seamlessly combines gastronomy, culture, and live human interaction, making it an excellent addition to cultural and sightseeing programs in Tashkent.

Pricing:
  • $50 per person — for individual participants (groups of 2–3 people)
  • $35 per person — for groups of 10–11 people

In addition, we can organize a ready-made plov tasting in a traditional courtyard at Navruz Park, suitable for both small groups (10–20 people) and large groups (from 50 up to 100 guests).

The tasting set menu includes:
  • plov,
  • two types of salads (tomatoes with onions, and greens with yogurt),
  • traditional Uzbek bread,
  • vegetable samsa,
  • tea.

Guests are welcomed by a bride performing the traditional “Bride’s Greeting” ceremony, accompanied by national music.

At the conclusion of the tasting, guests are invited to participate in an Uzbek dance, creating a bright, joyful, and memorable atmosphere.

After the master class, guests may stroll through the ethnographic park, visit workshops of local artisans and leading Uzbek designers, purchase souvenirs and gifts, and explore authentic courtyards designed in the architectural styles of different regions of Uzbekistan.
