Embark on an unforgettable one-day adventure through the spectacular canyons of Imereti, where nature’s grandeur leaves every visitor in awe. This tour from Kutaisi takes you deep into the heart of western Georgia’s most breathtaking natural wonders—Okatse and Martvili Canyons. Whether you’re crossing a narrow suspended bridge high above a dramatic gorge, hiking through lush forest trails, or gliding along a turquoise river on a boat, each moment promises excitement, serenity, and stunning photo opportunities. The journey combines thrilling activities with peaceful scenery, perfect for those who seek both adventure and connection with nature. Along the way, soak in authentic Georgian charm as you pass through idyllic villages. This immersive day trip is ideal for travelers looking to make the most of their time in Kutaisi while discovering the region’s hidden treasures. Let Imereti’s canyons become the highlight of your Georgian journey.

Your day begins with a warm welcome from our guide and driver, who will meet you at your hotel in Kutaisi. After a short introduction, we set off on a scenic drive towards Okatse Canyon, one of Georgia’s most impressive natural landmarks.

Upon arrival, we’ll begin with a light hike through a beautiful forest trail, filled with birdsong and the scent of pine, leading us to the highlight of Okatse—the suspended walkway over the Satsikvilo River gorge. Walking along this narrow but sturdy bridge offers a thrilling experience as you gaze down into the 100-meter-deep canyon beneath your feet. As we continue, we’ll reach the panoramic viewing platform, which rewards you with unforgettable views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and canyon walls. Take your time to breathe in the fresh air and snap incredible photos.

After returning to the entrance, we’ll drive through the scenic countryside toward Martvili Canyon, a true natural gem of the Samegrelo region. On the way, we’ll pass through quaint Georgian villages with charming courtyards and traditional wooden houses, giving you a glimpse into the rural lifestyle of western Georgia.

At Martvili Canyon, we’ll embark on a short boat trip along the emerald-green waters, gliding past moss-covered cliffs and under the cooling shade of overhanging trees. The boat ride offers close-up views of waterfalls and caves carved by centuries of flowing water. Once we dock, we’ll explore the canyon on foot, strolling along well-maintained paths and observation decks, where the crystal-clear river reveals different hues of blue and green as it flows over smooth stones.

This area is especially popular for its unique and photogenic landscapes, so don’t forget your camera—it’s one of the best places in Georgia for selfies and nature photography.

Optional: Before returning to Kutaisi, you can opt for a delicious lunch at Oda Marani, a rustic-style restaurant serving traditional Megrelian cuisine. Enjoy rich local flavors paired with house-made wine from their cellar. Due to limited seating, we recommend reserving your spot in advance.

After a full day of exploration, we’ll return to Kutaisi and drop you off at your hotel, concluding your tour—a perfect blend of thrill, beauty, and authentic Georgian charm.
