Itinerary

Day 1Batumi – Martvili Canyon – Kutaisi

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Batumi by your experienced guide and driver. Prepare to leave the Black Sea coast behind as we journey inland toward the lush and culturally rich regions of western Georgia.

Our first stop is the Martvili Canyon, a mesmerizing natural spectacle carved over millions of years by the Abasha River. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a serene boat ride through the canyon, gliding past dramatic rock formations and beneath stunning waterfalls. The clear turquoise waters reflect the shifting colors of the sky and stone, offering an almost surreal experience—an ideal setting for photography and peaceful reflection.

Next, we’ll explore the canyon from a different perspective, walking along scenic paths and bridges that offer panoramic views of this geological masterpiece. You’ll witness how the water changes hue with every twist and turn—a true natural kaleidoscope.

We then continue to Kutaisi, Georgia’s ancient capital and one of its most storied cities. Known in antiquity as Aia, it was the mythical final destination of the Argonauts. In Kutaisi, we’ll visit the iconic Bagrati Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed treasure from the 11th century. Perched on a hilltop, the cathedral offers sweeping views of the city and surrounding landscape, making it a symbolic and spiritual highlight of your day.

Evening check-in at a comfortable hotel in Kutaisi. Overnight stay in Kutaisi.

Day 2Kutaisi – Prometheus Cave – Okatse Canyon – Batumi

After breakfast at the hotel, we set out for one of Georgia’s most spectacular subterranean wonders: the Prometheus Cave. Located near Tskaltubo, this vast karst cave complex stretches over 1.5 kilometers and is illuminated by an artistic LED light display, turning its natural formations into a surreal underground fantasy. As you walk through the winding tunnels, you’ll encounter magnificent stalactites, stalagmites, limestone waterfalls, and underground lakes that seem otherworldly in their brilliance.

Next, the tour leads us to the scenic Okatse Canyon, a thrilling destination that showcases Georgia’s dramatic topography. A short forest hike through fragrant woodlands leads to the canyon’s hanging bridge, suspended over the roaring Satsikvilo River. From this vantage point, enjoy jaw-dropping views of cliffs, waterfalls, and deep ravines. The panoramic viewing platform at the canyon’s edge offers a final moment of awe—an unbeatable photo opportunity and a moment to savor Georgia’s raw beauty.

After our canyon adventure, we’ll drive back toward the coast, returning to Batumi in the evening. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel, concluding this unforgettable 2-day exploration of Georgia’s natural and cultural treasures.
