Kulichboy Madrasah
The Kulichboy Madrasah was constructed in 1914 and closely resembles the Hoja Abdulaziz Madrasah in appearance. The madrasah features 12 study rooms located on the first and second floors. A tashnov, or drainage system, was installed within the courtyard. The robust walls, made of fired bricks, are particularly striking and catch the eye from a distance. Today, the madrasah houses a museum.
Hoja Abdulaziz Madrasah
The Hoja Abdulaziz Madrasah is an architectural monument built in 1909 during the reign of the Emir of Bukhara, Said Abdullah Khan. In the early 20th century, it was a popular educational institution attracting students from across the Bukhara Emirate. From 1975 to 2007, the madrasah housed the Kashkadarya Regional Museum of Local Lore.
Sardoba
The Sardoba is a water reservoir constructed in the 14th century. Due to the region’s arid climate, the structure was designed to collect rainwater. The sardoba was in use until the early 20th century and is now empty, allowing visitors to descend inside. The interior boasts remarkable acoustics and features an unusual wooden fragment protruding from the water inlet.
Karshi Baths
The Karshi Baths are a fascinating medieval site built in the 16th century. Elders recount that the baths were designed to retain heat from a single small stove. Both the interior and exterior of the baths are quite unique, sparking genuine interest.
