Lake Nokhur

Nestled between the village of Vandam and Gabala lies the picturesque Nohur Lake. Once a modest marshy body of water bordered by reeds, the lake underwent significant expansion in the 20th century due to the construction of a reservoir. Today, visitors can access the lake from the direction of a nearby restaurant, where well-maintained paths invite leisurely strolls along its scenic shores. The lake presents a stunning visual, particularly when shrouded in a gentle morning mist.

Though undeniably beautiful, Nohur Lake is relatively small, and the surrounding recreational area is quite limited. It is lined with restaurants and entertainment options, including an amusement park, a hotel, and a rental service for pedal boats. Unfortunately, the opportunity to reach the pristine water is restricted to a small section of the shoreline near the pedal boat rentals, where visitors can dip their hands into the clear waters.

A short drive further along the road toward Baku leads to the enchanting Seven Beauties Waterfall, another highlight of the region. On the opposite shore of the lake, rolling hills enveloped in lush forests create a serene backdrop, enhancing the natural beauty of this tranquil setting.
