Exactly like these — 15–40 manat, depending on the seller’s greed. But that’s synthetic. A real kelaghayi should be bought in official stores. There are BUTALI corners in large shopping malls, they carry two scarf brands. There’s also the Azerbaijan Silk Factory — I think you can even order from them. That will be 100% silk. Prices start from 55 manat, on average 55–85 manat. There are also designer scarf boutiques, but prices there are sky-high, since they are hand-painted and one of a kind.
I bought one in Lahij for 22 manat.
Smells like animal wool.
Says 100% cashmere.
Scarves with the national buta pattern like these are called kelaghayi. The original is made of silk, replicas are made from whatever. The rest are just patterned scarves. Maybe wool, but it’s hard to believe in “100% cashmere” for 20 manat)). In general, the selection of souvenirs in Lahij is disappointing((. I only brought back herbs and spices from there, just to have something as a memory.
