I have tried the portal and the app multiple times. At the time of registration, i never get the OTP on the entered phone number... on the website, it actually gives error for the phone number (and only takes 5 digits)! that is a repeated dead-end... any suggestion there please?
Well, not really know what to advise in this situation. The best thing is to get an advice of airport's Customs officer. Perhaps some of your partners that you plan to have meeting with could give them a call and ask (+994124972777).
But judging from the situation your only option is to head through the Red Corridor and fill out the Customs Declaration in hand.
@piligrim Thanks a lot for the advise... can you let me know if it is ok to carry 4 phones? they are all for personal use and I am planning to declare 2 because other two would be below 800 USD combined.
Here is the official info from Customs website for your reference. It is clearly stated that 'each individual can bring across the customs border two goods of the same type, the total customs value of which does not exceed the equivalent of 800 USD, once a month without paying customs duties.'.
So yes, you can confidently take them as personal items.
Please tell me, can they hassle a person if they have three phones with them (not new)? (flight Moscow–Baku)
@joe99 I flew Moscow–Baku recently, I had exactly three phones, all not new, I constantly use several. There were no problems at all.
