Hi everyone! Could you please recommend some easy mountain routes for a beginner? Thanks in advance!
In the chat I mostly see people talking about the Big Almaty Lake route from Edelweiss. Maybe you know if there are usually people on the trail during weekdays? I’d be a bit nervous going alone.
For beginners, you can start with Medeu–Gorelnik (up to the Apa Katya café), or Medeu–Kimasar. You can also hike to Kok Zhailau from the Prosveshchenets bus stop. That one is slightly harder than the first two.
And then later move on to Big Almaty Lake 
In general, groups go there almost every day, starting from the tourist base around 8–9 in the morning. You can check the nearest date for one of the groups, and then you won’t have to hike alone

By any chance, do you know where I can look up those group hikes from the tourist base?
Or is it better to just come there early in the morning?
Here are the upcoming hikes from several groups. Where it says the time (06:30 and 08:00), that’s the gathering time at Baitursynov 100. From there, they usually spend about an hour getting there together by shuttle bus. Monte are going there on May 27.
