Hey knowledgeable folks, quick question if it's not too much trouble. Heading out mid-October for a drive along this route in my car. Any weather headaches I should watch for this time of year? Super curious about the bits around Tee-Ashuu Pass and Sonkel Lake. Vehicle's a Toyota Prado – should handle it okay, but wanna know what to expect!

I snagged a jeep tour for October, and they told me no worries about mudslides or rockfalls happening. Plus, the hairpin turns aren't nearly as wild as those in Dagestan. Should be a smooth ride overall!

mid-October is my fave time for Kyrgyzstan drives – cooler temps, fewer tourists. Drove Tee-Ashuu in a Prado last year around the 15th, and it was mostly clear, but pack for rain 'cause the pass can get misty and slick. Weather was iffy one day with light snow flurries on Tee-Ashuu, but nothing that stopped us. Prado ate up the gravel like nothing. Sonkel Lake? Chilly winds off the water, but the views are unreal. Mornings can be frosty (bring gloves!), but afternoons warm up.
