Hi everyone))
Please advise where it’s nice to take a walk in Bishkek right now? Which street is the most beautiful?
And what places and markets are worth visiting?

I honestly don’t understand why all tourists are sent to Osh Bazaar? It’s the worst place in Bishkek. And why do you even need markets? Go to Ala Archa instead.

Well, that’s more for ticking the box) but in general I want to buy laser rice, chalap, kurut. They’re cheaper here, I think. And they say somewhere you can buy good clothes like T-shirts etc. cheaply. Where is that place? 😂 I’d just take plain cotton ones if I knew where.

Well, for kurut it does make sense to go to Osh Bazaar. Yes, there’s a lot of it there. But the place itself is still so-so. For clothes it’s better to go to Dordoi Market. Though it’s huge — one day isn’t enough to walk around it. Near Orto-Sai Market there’s Seoul Plaza mall, it’s better to look for clothes there. This option is better than Dordoi. You’ll spend more on a taxi to Dordoi anyway.

Ala Archa Nature Park is a good place for a walk.
It’s about 40 minutes from the city, you can take a taxi to the park entrance, buy an entrance ticket for 200 som per person, and from there an electric shuttle will take you into the park itself. On the way back you can take a taxi — there are taxi drivers waiting there, or you can call Yandex.
On weekdays there aren’t many people in the park, and there are different comfortable trails for walking.

I recommend Orto-Sai Market. You can buy souvenirs and try tasty local fast food.
Also go on weekdays — fewer people.

Go to Panfilov Park. You can walk around there, go uphill, right to the big flag. The square is beautiful, lots of fountains. In summer it’s gorgeous❤️ To the left of the park there are many small parks, monuments, and museums. Walk around there, it’s very nice. On the corner of Gogol*Chui there’s a good canteen👍 And Dordoi — you need to go there in the morning, it also takes a lot of time. Don’t buy in the central rows — it’s expensive. Well… expensive… more expensive than in the other rows😁 Don’t be afraid to get lost. Walking there is a real pleasure. Use the mountains as your landmark — you can see them from anywhere in the bazaar.
Have a nice wander😉
