I'm gathering information about car rentals: the pros and cons!
For those who have rented a car, please share your experiences. How are the roads? What’s the traffic like?
The planned route is Tashkent–Samarkand–Bukhara–Khiva–Tashkent.
For now, we've tentatively decided to rent a car in Samarkand (and return it there as well). We'll take a train from Tashkent to Samarkand (and back).

We rented a car and had a positive experience. It cost $20 per day for a small automatic vehicle. We were very satisfied. A cash deposit was required, which was fully returned when we returned the car. Traffic in the cities is heavy. There are some nuances, but overall, driving was quite enjoyable.

I rented a car in Tashkent at the end of October for eight days from the company InRent, located at Fidoqor Street 10. Initially, I booked a Nexia III. The process was quick, and the terms were reasonable, though they showed me a new car but gave me an older one. I ended up switching to a Chevrolet Cobalt.

Our route was Tashkent–Samarkand–Bukhara–Navoi (visited the petroglyphs)–Zaamin–Tashkent. Overall, the roads were terrible—I’ve gotten used to better ones. There are many speed limits and cameras, but since we weren’t in a rush, it wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t even receive any fines. The deposit was refunded to my card within five days without any issues, so overall, I’m satisfied.
