It’s in the craftsmen’s domes in the old city. On the way from Poi Kalon to Lyabi Hauz.

Hello! Has anyone bought jewelry in Bukhara? Please share your experience — where is the best place to buy silver jewelry in a traditional style? Not at tourist prices.

Even if the price seems reasonable, in Bukhara it’s customary to bargain, especially when buying several items. In the alleys behind the Lyabi-Hauz complex, small private workshops are hidden away. Prices there are lower, and the quality of the handmade work is often higher.

Today, according to our program, we visited a local jewelers’ bazaar — there is a selection, but you need to look around. The girls in our group bought some pieces; the prices for silver there were kind of ridiculously low. I didn’t buy anything, so I can’t say the exact price.

Where is that?

It’s where the caravan bazaar is, just on the other side. That’s how it was explained to me — we went there as part of a guided tour.
