Transport in Bishkek

In Kyrgyzstan, the taxi app service «Yandex.Go» is widely used. A ride from the airport to Bishkek will cost between 500 to 1,000 soms, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. This app is also handy for getting around the city.

The most common form of city transportation is the ubiquitous minibuses, known as «marshrutkas.» There are plenty of them, and they run frequently throughout Bishkek. Additionally, buses and trolleybuses serve the city routes. However, public transport is typically quite old and can become very crowded, especially during peak hours.
