The World Nomad Games is the foremost international competition dedicated to nomadic sports. This festival takes place in Cholpon-Ata, located in the Issyk-Kul region, attracting teams from numerous countries, including Turkic-speaking regions of Russia. In addition to competitions in ethnic sports, the festival features performances by folk ensembles and a large-scale fair showcasing goods from nomadic artisans.
The Festival of National Horse Games is held in two locations at the end of July. The first stage takes place on the northern shore of Son-Kul Lake, in the Batai Aral pastures, while the second is held near the village of Kyzyl-Oi in the Suusamyr Valley. Participants reenact cavalry battles, compete in traditional games such as catching a kiss and goat carcass wrestling. These competitions are accompanied by folk music and traditional ethnic cuisine.
The National Food Festival takes place at the end of July in Jalal-Abad. Visitors can witness the preparation of traditional dishes and even participate in the cooking process. The collaborative effort results in a feast that guests can sample on the spot. The dishes feature regional specialties, including the famous Osh-style plov and the traditional Naryn beshbarmak.
The Birds of Prey Festival occurs on August 10 at the Jaichy yurt camp, near the village of Kok-Sai on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. This event offers a spectacular falconry display. The program also includes a folkloric show, a handicraft market, and tastings of nomadic cuisine.

The Oimo Festival of Traditional Crafts and Culture takes place at the end of July in Bishkek before moving to the shores of Issyk-Kul. Dressed in traditional costumes, the artisans contribute to the colorful atmosphere of the event.
The Festival of National Cuisine, Kyrgyz Rituals, and Traditions is an immersive celebration of Kyrgyz culture and customs. Guests experience national games, cooking workshops on Kyrgyz cuisine, and the opportunity to purchase handmade felt, leather, and clay products. This festival is held in the village of Karool-Dobo in the Chuy region on July 30.
The Berry and Fruit Festival «Karagat Fest» takes place on August 6 in the village of Teploklyuchenka, Issyk-Kul region. Gardeners from across the country come together to showcase the fruits of their labor. Visitors can buy homemade jams and preserves made from Kyrgyz fruits and berries.
During the autumn, winter, and spring seasons, celebrations in Kyrgyzstan are more low-key compared to the vibrant summer festivals.
