If you’re traveling by car from Bishkek, we recommend taking a right turn off the main road after descending from the Dolon Pass. The unpaved road will begin to climb along the mountainside, and you’ll drive about 3.5 km from the main route. At this point, you’ll reach a fork in the road to the left, leading to a shepherd’s house nestled in the area.
Once you arrive at the shepherd’s house, ask for directions to Teshik Canyon, and he will guide you. From there, you’ll need to walk approximately 1 km, and soon the breathtaking sight of the canyon will unfold before you. The Teshik Canyon is a rocky fissure in the plateau, densely covered with the beautiful Tian Shan fir trees. It’s truly astounding to see how the trees manage to cling to the sheer rock faces. This place offers a spectacular and intriguing experience, making it a unique spot worth visiting.
Alternatively, you can also reach Teshik Canyon by descending from Lake Son-Kul, passing through the «33 Parrots» Pass.
