For a unique and immersive experience, the Jeyran Ecocenter tour offers an exceptional opportunity to explore Uzbekistan’s native wildlife and diverse landscapes. Located just a short drive from Bukhara, the ecocenter is dedicated to the preservation of endangered species that once roamed the region’s vast expanses. Visitors can witness a variety of animals, including the majestic Persian gazelles, the rare Przhevalski’s horses, and the elusive kulans, all housed in an open-air environment that simulates their natural habitats.

During the tour, you will explore the ecocenter’s expansive grounds, which include a well-designed open-air cage complex where you can observe these incredible creatures up close. The ecocenter is committed to conservation and plays a crucial role in protecting species listed in the Red Book, making your visit both educational and impactful.

Following your exploration of the animal enclosures, the tour continues with a scenic walk through the sandy desert terrain to a series of saline lakes. Here, you will have the chance to see some of the same species in their natural settings. The lakes are home to a diverse array of birdlife, including white-tailed lapwings, stilts, and kingfishers, as well as mammals like badgers and nutrias. Each lake varies in salinity and depth, creating distinct ecological zones that attract different wildlife.
