This ancient religious structure, dating back to the early 15th century, is situated in the historic district of Icheri Sheher. The construction of this Muslim temple began in 1415-1416, coinciding with the reign of Ibrahim I (1382-1417). The building project was overseen by Hajji Amir Shah, a notable architect of the time. At the entrance of the mosque, a stone plaque remains, inscribed in Arabic, detailing the commencement of the mosque’s construction and naming the chief architect responsible for its design.
The facade of the mosque is divided into three asymmetrical sections by flat pilasters, creating a unique architectural aesthetic. The single prayer hall features a small mihrab adorned with stalactite motifs, exemplifying the intricate craftsmanship of the era. Deep niches can be seen throughout the interior walls, adding depth and character to the space.
