Is there a City Tour bus in Baku? If there is, does it make sense to use it to see the city?
Or maybe you could recommend a public transport route (a bus) that passes by the main sights. I found bus number 5 — if you get on it at the Azneft Square stop near “Venice” and ride along the seaside boulevard to the Heydar Aliyev Center, does such a trip make sense or not?
Good evening. There is a sightseeing tour, there are about 15 stops along the route, it seems. The ticket is valid during the day. But the operating hours are roughly from 11 to 16. You can get off at locations you like, take a walk, and then continue riding further. The interval is 30 minutes. Boarding and tickets are in the area of the Park Bulvar shopping mall.
Taking a regular bus is not a very good idea, but as an option, it has the right to exist! On the 5 you will not really ride much through the center from Azneft Square — just a couple of stops and the bus will turn off. It’s better to walk this distance on foot to Crescent Mall. From there you can return to the Sahil stop and take the same number 5 to the Heydar Aliyev Center, walk around there. Do not continue on route 5 any further — there is nothing for you to do in Narimanov.
