Hi! So they really don’t allow regular cars into Ala Archa anymore at all?

We were there on May 3. You can drive up to the parking lot before the park entrance. The parking area is large. No cars are allowed further in anymore. You go through the turnstile in the big building into the park, and from there special park buses leave depending on how crowded it is and take people to the cable car. No need to buy a separate bus ticket, you only pay the entrance fee.

From there you can take the cable car up to Broken Heart. You can also hike there, but the start of the trail is difficult to find. It’s to the right of the cable car, but everything there has been dug up 🙁 You need to check the trails on Maps.me. Construction roads for the cable car have cut through all the trekking routes, it’s easy to get lost and end up on the road 🙁

You can also walk to the right from the start of the cable car, there’s good asphalt there, accessible for everyone. But I’d recommend going all the way to the end of the route and reaching the river overflow area. It’s very beautiful there and you can climb around on the rocks, bridges, and walk out onto the grassy meadows.

Thanks! Got it. Yeah, before all this used to be done on foot. And now they’ve made everything for lazy people.

Well, it’s both a plus and a minus. Now people with limited mobility can also enjoy the views. But the construction is being done very crudely ☹

Then we need to look for new locations near Bishkek. I’m looking at Sosnovka, seems not bad, and Belogorskoe Gorge.
