Hello everyone. Could someone please advise how to get to Samarkand? There are no train tickets available. If I go straight to the bus station, will I be able to buy a bus ticket there and leave right away?
You can check the bus schedules on avtoticket.uz — tickets can be purchased at the bus station near Almazar Metro Station.
There are taxis there as well, a little farther from the bus station, about 50 metres away.
Yes, you will definitely be able to leave from Tashkent bus station. There are up to 60 bus services going to and via Samarkand. It's just that cheap tickets may not be available, and you may have to take a bus going further and pay the full fare for the entire route.
