Does anyone know about the laser show at Registan? Is it interesting and worth visiting?
As another option, I can recommend a different interesting show. It happens at 7:00 pm on the stage at Sher-Dor Madrasah. It’s a folk group called Mulki Turan. The show is engaging but not overwhelming. It’s immersive—they interact with the audience and actively invite people on stage. They sing beautifully with great rhythm. One downside: everything is in Uzbek. But the host’s commentary helped understand the storyline.
Singing Fountains in Samarkand are also worth visiting
Registan has a light show every day at 9 PM. You don’t have to buy an entry ticket to Registan to see the laser show—it’s perfectly visible from the viewing platform outside, just watch from behind the fence.

At the Eternal City, the singing fountains run from 7 to 9 PM for sure, not sure after that, with shows every 15 minutes. From the Eternal City to the fountains, you can take a tuk-tuk-style vehicle waiting at the entrance to the Eternal City. The ride costs 10,000 soms, takes about five minutes, and drops you right by the fountains.
Starting from November 21st there will be no show on Registan square up until 20 Febraury 2026
