Today we visited the Silk Road Museum in Samarkand, located in the building of the former Russian-Chinese Bank. The address is 94 Shakhrukh Mirzo Street. It’s not easy to find if you’re not a local. Closed on Sundays. To get there, you need to cross University Boulevard and head into the inner courtyard of the biology faculty of Samarkand State University, where a recently renovated greenhouse is located.
The ticket costs 35,000 UZS per person. There are only two halls in total. There is no real narrative about the Great Silk Road. The building itself is beautiful, but the exhibition did not impress.
