We want to go to Dushanbe for a few days, and then on to Tashkent. I couldn’t find information about international buses. I heard something about shared taxis. Where do you find them and what’s the real price at least to the border? Or is there a bus to Khujand? (For June).
I see there are flights, but we’d prefer something cheaper, and also to see the landscapes from the ground.
I’m on this route right now. No problem — you take a taxi for 400 somoni (~$40) from Chorbog bus station and go to Khujand, stay overnight, and then for 150 somoni (~$15) to the border with Tashkent.
How much does it cost to get from Dushanbe to Tashkent by taxi or bus?
On average, a taxi from Dushanbe to Khujand costs around 150 somoni per passenger.
Then from Khujand to Oybek, it’s approximately 150 somoni for the whole car, or you can negotiate to go as a passenger for around 50–70 somoni. Then it’s easier to cross the border on foot.
And after that, it’s somewhere around $15-$20 to Tashkent, depending on how well you negotiate.
Guys, what’s the quickest and cheapest way to get from the Aybek border crossing to Dushanbe?
There are taxis from there to Dushanbe. 250–300 somoni. As soon as you cross the border, there are taxi drivers waiting right there.
Is there any way to get there for 200 somoni?
