Hello! Could you tell me how to get from Termez to Mazar-i-Sharif?

Via the bridge. There’s no other way. On the other side you’ll pass border control and get into a taxi. I haven’t crossed myself, but I was planning to.

Thanks! Do you mean a taxi on the Afghan side? Are there taxis there?

There are. Do you speak Dari or Tajik?

No, only Russian. It’s just that a flight to Kabul turns out to be really expensive.

Hmmmm. Well, I don’t even know. You’ll get to Kabul for sure, but without knowing the language it’s probably difficult.

I’m planning to go to Mazar airport, and from there fly by plane.

I don’t know the details. I know that not all hotels will let you stay. And, well… a single woman is not the best option for traveling around Afghanistan. At least dress properly.

Thanks 😁🤝 that’s not a problem, I’m more concerned about how to actually get to Mazar airport after passport control, that’s what worried me most. I thought maybe there is some kind of transfer from Termez.

I know for sure that there are cars to Mazar on the other side. I think the border guards will help. They said you can also exchange money into afghanis there.

A brave woman. I was there with my wife in September by car. Pick appropriate clothing right away, and a guide–translator doesn’t cost very much, you’ll be safer. Entered from Uzbekistan, exited through Iran. The Taliban are generally loyal, but you shouldn’t get carried away; hooligans and banditry do exist. And don’t violate traditions and customs, you can pay for it harshly.

😅 In Kabul our tour group will be waiting for me. It’s just that with night layovers through Dubai it’s expensive and stressful, sitting in the airport. Clothing is the easiest part of this trip 😂

Through Herat? I once tried to enter through there, got turned back, had to wait. Didn’t have the time.
