Problem purchasing train ticket

Dear Shahina Travel

On 27 april we plan to move from Samarcanda to Taskent with fast train. Can you help us with purchasing tickets?  We tried to buy directly from eticket.railway.uz  but it seems it does not accept foreign credits cards, just uzb cards. Isnt'it?

Dear Giulia,

Yes, indeed, the online purchasing system sometimes can get very unstable with many reports from travelers complaining about system being down, or tickets not available online or payments could not be processed. Unfortunately, there is hardly we can do about that. If you persist checking and trying, you should eventually succeed. Foreign cards are accepted as long as the system is up and works properly.

We can provide a service of purchasing you a hardcopy tickets offline at central tickets office but this will involve a charge of 20$ per ticket (notwithstanding how much the ticket itself will cost). The service fee, although might seem hefty, is totally justified as we need to dispatch a member of our staff to the station, to queue and spend couple of hours to complete the task. This service will be totally free in case the tour is booked through our company and this trip will be the part of your itinerary. As a separate service of booking tickets only the charge of 20$ will be applied.
