Nope, no need to register your IMEI if you’re only using a foreign SIM. But be careful—if you insert any Uzbek SIM card, even once, the clock starts ticking (30 days), and you’ll need to register it.

Greeting for the day!!!

I am currently studying in the first year at Bukhara Medical College and I am staying in the hostel of Bukhara Medical College in Bukhara. I have arrived in Uzbekistan on 1 January 2025 and I have to register my mobile. I went to the nearest post office and found out that registration is not done here. So, I request you to give me the address of any place in Bukhara where mobile registration is done, and please tell me which documents I have to carry and how much the fee will be.

Dear Mr Kureshi

you can find all the required information and make a registration online using the following link: https://uzimei.uz/en

You can also find there an interactive map with offices that do registrations, including the ones in Bukhara. Hope this helps.
