The first highlight of your tour is the revered Prophet Noah’s Tomb, a significant pilgrimage site where many come to pay their respects, as legend has it that Noah’s remains lie here. Next, visit the iconic Momine Khatun Mausoleum, a stunning architectural masterpiece built in 1186 in honor of Muhammad Jahan Pahlavan’s mother, symbolizing the city’s rich history.
Continue your exploration at the Khan’s Palace, a remarkable 18th to 19th-century residence of the Nakhichevan ruler, Rahim Khan. The palace, located within the Old Fortress, offers breathtaking views of the city below.
Next, you will visit the Yusif Ibn Kuseyir Tomb, constructed between 1161 and 1162, notable for its octagonal shape and pyramid roof adorned with kufi inscriptions from the Quran.
In the afternoon, make your way to Alinja Fortress, an impressive 12th-century stronghold that served as a strategic defense point during Timur’s attacks in the 14th century.
