Upon your arrival at Bishkek International Airport, our guide will greet you and escort you to breakfast. After a hearty meal, we’ll embark on an exciting journey to Son Kul Lake, the second-largest lake in Kyrgyzstan, located at an impressive altitude of 3,013 meters above sea level. Nestled amidst rugged mountain ranges, Son Kul is a tranquil retreat and a favorite summer destination for Kyrgyz nomadic families and herders who bring their livestock here to graze on lush pasturelands. Along the scenic drive, we’ll stop for a delightful picnic amidst nature. Once at the lake, enjoy some free time to explore the untouched beauty of the area. You can wander along the lake’s shores, meet local nomadic families, or simply absorb the serene surroundings. At Kochkor, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a local family who will demonstrate the intricate process of creating Kyrgyz felt carpets. You’ll even have the chance to make your own! Continuing to Bokonbaevo village, we’ll meet an eagle hunter who will share his expertise in the ancient nomadic tradition of using eagles to hunt foxes and hares. By evening, we’ll arrive at the shores of Issyk Kul Lake—the world’s second-largest alpine lake, often referred to as the “Pearl of Central Asia.” Marvel at the lake’s azure waters surrounded by majestic mountains. After breakfast, we’ll make our way back to Bishkek, stopping to explore fascinating historical sites along the route.
