The Missirian Plain is a remarkable area where remnants of extensive ancient irrigation systems can still be seen today. These remnants include traces of early irrigation techniques that date back to antiquity, offering a glimpse into the sophisticated water management practices of ancient civilizations.

The Khodzha-i-Pihl Plateau, located within the Kugitangtau ridge, is renowned globally for its nearly 1,000 well-preserved dinosaur footprints from the Jurassic era. These footprints, which range in size from 30 to 92 centimeters, provide a fascinating insight into the dinosaurs that once roamed this region. Particularly notable are the dinosaur tracks on the western slope of the Kugitangtau ridge. Here, on a limestone surface approximately 140 million years old, about 500 distinct dinosaur traces can be observed. This collection of tracks is considered the most extensive and diverse in the world.

The Kaplnkir Plateau, also known as the Tigrovoye or Tiger Plateau, located near Ashgabat, is renowned for its scenic beauty and is an ideal location for hiking tours across Turkmenistan. Its picturesque landscapes make it a favored destination for nature enthusiasts.

The Chinki Plateau in Ustyurt is a historical site characterized by its impressive rock ledges, which can extend up to 40 meters. These ledges are adorned with vertical cliffs and well-preserved caves and grottoes that bear evidence of ancient human activity, adding to the area’s historical significance.
