The Tashkent-Passenger station (also known as Northern, Tashkent-Central) is one of the first railway stations in Uzbekistan, located in its capital. It is the largest railway hub in the country.
The station in the city was built at the end of the 19th century. Thanks to the construction of this line, it was possible to organize communication between Tashkent and Krasnovodsk. A few years later, communication between Tashkent and Orenburg appeared, which, in turn, for the first time connected the European part of Russia and Asia. In the mid-1950s, a new station began operating in the city. In the 1980s, the Tashkent metro station also appeared nearby.
The road from the station starts the communication route from Tashkent to Samarkand with a length of 344 km. It passes through four regions. A high-speed train runs along this line, which travels its route every day.
Flight information is available from the Yandex.Schedule service, and it can also be clarified at the Tashkent railway station information desk by phone (+998 71) 1005 or on the official website of the Uzbekistan Railways.
Today, it is possible to buy train tickets from Tashkent in several ways. In addition to purchasing directly at the station’s ticket office, you can book and pay for a ticket online, which, of course, saves a lot of time and effort. Online ticket sales are available on the official website of the Uzbekistan Railways.
