In Samarkand, souvenirs are really expensive — at least in all the places we went. But today, by chance, we stopped by a shop at the Chorsu market. They have absolutely everything there. The prices are two to three times lower. You just need to ask the price from the respectable man at the cashier’s desk — he gives a lower price. The shop is on the second floor; the first floor sells gold. Here’s a photo of the entrance to the shop. When you’re looking at the entrance, the main market building will be on your left.
And today we went to Urgut, where at the market we found grandmothers selling suzani and other embroidery. We bought some beautiful pieces from them, took photos together, and left absolutely delighted
Good afternoon! Could you please tell me where in Samarkand I can buy a silk or cotton robe at a reasonable price?

We were there today — they have carpets, scarves, and clothing, including robes. The quality is factory-made, prices are lower than at the market, and you can bargain.
And what about the prices?
It depends on the quality and patterns. I only looked at one robe — a strict black, floor-length silk one for $250. I didn’t bargain, but I think they would’ve let it go for around $150–200. Overall, it was an interesting place — worth a visit.
