Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Bishkek – Excursion to Ala-Archa National Park – Bishkek

Upon your early morning arrival in Bishkek, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for some well-deserved rest. After settling in, enjoy an engaging sightseeing tour of the city. We’ll visit the central Ala-Too Square, the iconic Victory Square, and stroll through Duboviy Park (Oak Park). A visit to the Museum of Fine Arts and the vibrant Osh Bazaar will offer a glimpse into Kyrgyz culture and daily life. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Ala-Archa National Park, a stunning alpine gorge just an hour away from the city. Surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, you’ll hike along the crystal-clear Ala-Archa River, passing through lush meadows and dense fir forests to reach the Ak-Say waterfall (35 meters high) at an elevation of 2,700 meters. After an inspiring day in nature, we return to Bishkek for the night.

Day 2Bishkek – Scenic Journey to Toktogul

Today, we embark on a scenic drive to Toktogul, a region known for its breathtaking reservoir and captivating landscapes. As we travel through the Suusamyr Valley and Too-Ashuu Pass, you’ll witness some of Kyrgyzstan’s most stunning views. We’ll continue through the Ala-Bel Mountain Pass and Chychkan Gorge, where nature’s beauty will surround you. By evening, we’ll arrive at Toktogul for a warm welcome. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a cozy guest house.

Day 3Toktogul – Journey to Arslanbob

After breakfast, we set off for Arslanbob, home to the world’s largest walnut-fruit forest, covering an impressive 600,000 hectares. The surrounding landscapes, with their expansive groves of walnut trees and fruit orchards, provide a unique atmosphere. Dinner will be served at a local homestay, where you’ll experience authentic Kyrgyz hospitality.

Day 4:Arslanbob – Kazarman Village Adventure (Challenging Journey)

Marvel at the captivating beauty of the unspoiled landscapes and high-altitude scenery as you traverse this remote part of Kyrgyzstan. Enjoy dinner and a night’s stay in a welcoming local homestay.

Day 5:Kazarman – Historic Tash Rabat Caravanserai

Today, we travel to one of Kyrgyzstan’s most fascinating historical treasures, the Tash Rabat Caravanserai, near the Chinese border. This impressive 15th-century stone fortress once served as a shelter for travelers on the Great Silk Road. It stands as a testament to Kyrgyzstan’s rich history and is the largest and most complex stone structure of its kind in Central Asia. Tonight, you’ll stay in a traditional yurt, offering a genuine taste of nomadic life.

Day 6:Tash Rabat – Serenity at Son-Kul Lake

After breakfast, we journey to the magnificent Son-Kul Lake, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most beautiful and secluded alpine lakes, sitting at an elevation of 3,016 meters. Here, you’ll encounter vast pastures filled with grazing livestock and nomadic families living in yurts. You’ll be welcomed to taste “kumys” (fermented mare’s milk) and sample homemade bread and dairy treats. Spend the evening by the lakeside, taking in the serene beauty of this pristine natural wonder, before spending the night in a yurt.

Day 7:Son-Kul Lake – Cultural Experience in Kochkor Village

Take in the tranquil surroundings of Son-Kul Lake with some free time in the morning, allowing you to explore on foot or on horseback. After lunch, we make our way to Kochkor village, a place renowned for its traditional craftsmanship. Upon arrival, you’ll visit a felt carpet workshop, where you’ll see the intricate process of creating Kyrgyz national felt carpets. In the evening, you’ll dine with a local Kyrgyz family, offering an intimate cultural experience.

Day 8:Kochkor – Burana Tower – Return to Bishkek

The Kyrgyzstan’s Timeless Treasures Expedition was a truly unforgettable journey! I was amazed by the stunning landscapes, from the alpine beauty of Ala-Archa to the mesmerizing Son-Kul Lake. Staying in a yurt was a highlight, allowing us to experience the nomadic lifestyle firsthand.
